About Janet Craft

I grew up in the Bay Area before moving to the Foothills in 1993. I found out about Bowenwork from a co-worker who recommended I go see a local Bowenwork practitioner for my sciatica. This was something I had been dealing with off and on for the majority of my adult life after a car accident injury. After years of working in the veterinary field as a Registered Veterinary Technician, I found that my back pain and sciatica became more and more intense. After 3 sessions of Bowenwork, I was pain-free.

The next time I had to go see the Bowenwork practitioner was 9 months later because I re-injured myself. This was the longest I had ever gone without sciatica pain in 20 years. It also resolved some digestive issues that I had dealt with the majority of my life. I found that I seemed to be able to handle stress better as well. I had developed Asthma in my early 20’s which affected me during each year in the fall. I had to use nasal sprays and inhalers to keep it under control every fall. Since having Bowenwork done, I no longer have to use the inhalers to control it. It has enabled me to get back to doing the outdoor activities that I love.

I had never heard of Bowenwork prior to this and was amazed at the profound results in such a short period of time. It was life-changing for me and I thank Ossie and Elaine Rentsch for bringing this technique to America! I became so excited about the way I was feeling that I wanted to learn the technique, so I started my two-year journey to become a Professional Bowenwork Practitioner. My passion for Bowenwork runs deep because of how much it has helped better my life. I feel strongly about sharing this experience with others as it really is life-changing when the pain is gone.

I’d like to thank the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and Bowenwork Academy USA for allowing me to use some of the information on my website that was taken from their material. I would also like to thank my family and friends for supporting me through this journey, especially my son, Adam who was willing to be my “model” for many hours while I practiced my technique throughout my schooling.
